The MedCLIVAR Network and the Italian Society for Climate Sciences (SISC) are delighted to invite you to participate in the 7th MedCLIVAR and the 12th SISC Annual Conference, from 24 to 27 September 2024 at the University of Salento, Lecce, Italy. Returning to Lecce, where both MedCLIVAR and SISC held their inaugural conferences in 2011 and 2013 respectively, the MedCLIVAR-SISC 2024 Conference promises to deliver a comprehensive exploration of the Mediterranean climate’s evolution.
MedCLIVAR-SISC 2024 develops a multidisciplinary vision of the evolution of the Mediterranean climate with studies on the atmospheric, marine, and terrestrial climate components at time scales ranging from paleo reconstructions to future climate scenarios. The program will include crucial scientific themes such as past climate variability, connections between the Mediterranean and global climate, Mediterranean Sea circulation and sea level, feedbacks on the global climate system, regional responses to greenhouse gases, air pollution, aerosols, as well as regional impacts of climate change.
The event is co-organized by the University of Salento, the Italian Society for Climate Sciences (SISC), and the Euro-Mediterranean Centre on Climate Change (CMCC) as a joint MedCLIVAR-SISC 2024 Conference..
