Dr Dias Haralambopoulos is Emeritus Professor at the University of the Aegean (Department of Environment, Greece), where he was a faculty member from 1989 to 2022. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Birmingham (1983). His research focuses on renewable energy resources, energy planning and policy, multicriteria decision analysis, and energy-environment interactions. He has led numerous European and nationally funded research projects and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals on topics including energy modelling, decarbonisation, and sustainable energy systems.
