Tuba Bucak holds a PhD in Biology from the Middle East Technical University, Biology and is currently working as a Tenure Track Researcher in the Department of Ecoscience at Aarhus University.

Her areas of expertise include climate change, lake and catchment modeling, biodiversity conservation and greenhouse gas emissions from freshwater ecosystems.
