As part of the GC for Med programme, led by several Mediterranean networks of the UN Global Compact, a dedicated session on measuring the impacts of business activities on the Mediterranean Sea will take place on Tuesday, 22 October.
This session, titled “Measuring Impacts of Business Initiatives on the Mediterranean Sea”, will explore how companies can assess and monitor their effects on marine and coastal ecosystems to adopt a truly sustainable approach to ocean stewardship.
MedECC will take part in the discussion through Mohamed Abdrabo, Lead Author of the Special Report on Climate and Environmental Coastal Risks in the Mediterranean. His contribution will highlight key insights from the report and their relevance for private sector action and adaptation strategies in the region.
