Coastal risks and adaptation: a Mediterranean perspective

The coastal zone of the Mediterranean Sea is affected by multiple drivers of change: climate, pollution, biologic and socio-economic processes. This graphical synthesis describes their evolution, their impacts on ecosystems and people, the risks that are posed and solutions to reduce them, together with pathways for sustainable development. The state of knowledge is based on MedECC Special report in climate and environmental change in the Mediterranean. The central infographic on risks and adaptation comes as a single infographic as well.
