Dr. Çağla Vural is a lecturer at Ankara Bilim University. Having recently completed her postdoctoral research on the impacts of alien marine invasive species in the Eastern Mediterranean, she is currently conducting a research project supported by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK 3501 - Career Development Program) titled "Türkiye's Bridging Role in International Climate Diplomacy: A Comparative and Applied Analysis."

Her research expertise encompasses international relations theories, environmental security, climate change policies, and the security implications of ecological challenges, with a specific focus on waste trafficking and global security dynamics.
