Efthymia Nikita
Efthymia Nikita is Associate Professor in Bioarchaeology at The Cyprus Institute. She studies human remains from prehistoric to Medieval contexts, shedding light on health, diet, demography and other aspects of past life. She earned a BA in Archaeology and a PhD in Biological Anthropology. Her research has resulted in over 80 publications, including the textbook ‘Osteoarchaeology’ (Elsevier 2017). She is co-Editor-in-Chief for the 2nd edition of the Encyclopedia of Archaeology (Elsevier), and Associate Editor for the Journal of Archaeological Science. She was awarded a Dan David prize for her contribution to the study of the past.
