Nadia Mhammdi is Professor of marine geology and geophysic at Mohammed V University - Scientific Institute, Rabat, Morocco. She received her Doctorate in Marine Geology from Ifremer, Brest in 1994 and her HDR from the Mohammedia School of Engineers, Rabat in 2010. She is currently Director of the Laboratory for Geophysics and Natural Hazards until 2017 and Head of “physique du Globe” Department, since 2020. She is responsible for the "Information, Cooperation and Doctoral Training Unit" at the Scientific Institute since 2014. She has more than 27 years research experience investigating topics such as the geologic origins and development of coastal, continental shelf, and estuarine regions, climate-change effects on coasts. She has led or participated in more than 30 field studies. She has participated in several oceanographic campaigns throughout the world (along the Atlantic, Celtic sea, North sea, and Mediterranean sea) and has represented Morocco in several European and international meetings on the marine environment and has several publications in indexed journals (articles, book chapters ...).
