Salpie Djoundourian
Salpie Djoundourian is an associate professor of Economics in the Adnan Kassar School of Business at the Lebanese American University, Lebanon. She holds a PhD in Economics from Louisiana State University. Her primary area of expertise is Applied Microeconomics with emphasis in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics and Public Finance. She is actively involved in academic research and scholarly work as well as consultancy work for reputable organizations in both private and public sector. She held various administrative positions in academia over the past two decades: Chair of Economics Department (2005-2008), Assistant Dean (2008-2012), Associate Dean (2012-2024) and Interim Dean (2024-2025) of the Adnan Kassar School of Business at the Lebanese American University. Her research appeared in Public Choice, Ecological Economics, Environment, Development and Sustainability, Regional Studies in Marine Science, People and Nature, Journal of Economic Policy Reform, Family Business Review, and Transportation Research, among others.
