Murat Belivermiş is a full professor of biology at Istanbul University, İstanbul, Türkiye. His present research examines how environmental changes, such as ocean acidification, warming and deoxygenation, affect marine organisms. He does laboratory-based multiple-stress experiments to unravel the combined effects of pollutants and climate-related stressors on marine taxa. He researched in IAEA Environment Laboratories on ocean acidification and hypoxia using radioecological techniques.
