Dear Colleagues ! We have a pleasure to present you the 3rd issue of the MedECC newsletter. The MedECC network keeps growing and counts more than 600 members now. The work on the 1st MedECC Assessment Report (MAR1) has much progressed recently, mainly thanks to the MedECC Lead Author meeting which has held in March 2019 in Milan (Italy). The 1st MedECC Assessment Report (MAR1) Lead Author meeting was held in the CNR Center in Milan (Italy) from 4 to 7 March 2019. The meeting gathered 59 participants from 16 countries: Coordinating Lead Authors (CLAs), Lead Authors (LAs) of MAR1, MedECC Steering Committee Members and MedECC partners. Future MedECC events
• Union for the Mediterranean Climate Change Experts Group meeting and Climate week, 9-11 April 2019, Barcelona, Spain
• “European Climate Change Adaptation conference (ECCA2019)”, 28-31 May 2019, Lisbon, Portugal. MedECC will be presented during this event on 29 May 2019. The Mediterranean Climate change Adaptation Awards 2018-2019 will be given out during the conference. This contest is organised by French Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME) in partnership with Union for the Mediterranean, Plan Bleu, Agency for Sustainable Mediterranean Cities and Territories (AViTeM), in association with the Association of Mediterranean Agencies for energy management (MEDENER) and Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE).
